Plastic Surgery
At Westchester Health, all of our Plastic Surgeons are Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and specialize in improving the function or appearance of various parts of the body through cosmetic or reconstructive surgical procedures.
With years of experience and a thorough command of the most advanced techniques and technologies, our plastic surgeons provide the highest level of plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast, face, skin and body.
For many people, plastic surgery is a highly successful way to achieve the beautiful and natural-looking results they desire. At Westchester Health, we believe that every person deserves to feel good about themselves and their appearance, and the goal of our plastic surgeons is to help each of our patients look and feel their very best.
Prevention as well as procedures
At Westchester Health, the focus of our Plastic Surgery Department is not only on performing procedures which improve a person’s face and body but also on preventative care, especially when it comes to breast implants. We highly recommend that women who have had breast augmentation surgery should have their breast implants checked by a board certified plastic surgeon once a year. This way, any potential problems can be detected at an early stage.
What makes Westchester Health’s Plastic Surgery Department different?
At Westchester Health, we firmly believe that good treatment starts with good listening. We also believe that the best patient is an informed patient, and that patient education is critical to your long-term health.

Whether you have been with Westchester Health for years or are new to our practice, you quickly recognize that our Plastic Surgery Department truly cares about each and every one of our patients. When you need us, we are here for you.
Always at the forefront of medicine
The world of medicine continues to change and evolve, especially regarding plastic surgery. As part of Northwell Health, our plastic surgeons participate in its Department of Plastic Surgery training programs, making sure they are continually up-to-date on the newest technological advances in the field of cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures and have ready access to the latest state-of-the-art plastic surgery techniques.
Plastic surgeons are experts at providing a variety of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures, including:
Botox is a protein produced by a bacteria called clostridium botulinum that when injected into muscles under the skin, blocks signals between nerves and muscles so that the injected muscles cannot contract. This protein can safely be injected into a variety of areas (forehead, chin, scalp, underarms and around the eyes and mouth), causing those muscles to remain relaxed and soft. This “muscle blocking” is what temporarily decreases the appearance of wrinkles, lines and creases. Botox can also improve acne, ease migraines and decrease excessive sweating.
Brazilian Butt LiftA Brazilian butt lift is a type of butt augmentation procedure in which excess fat is removed from certain parts of the body and transferred to the buttock area to achieve a lifted, plumper and more rounded appearance. Since a Brazilian butt lift uses a person’s own fat, there’s no chance of rejection. In order to have this procedure, a person must have a good amount of excess fat in certain parts of their body (such as the thighs, flanks or abdomen) that can be extracted and then injected into the buttocks. Liposuction can be performed at the same time to give more roundness, shape and curve to the buttocks.
Breast AugmentationFor women who are unhappy with the size or appearance of their breasts, breast augmentation is a highly effective solution. Using breast implants, breast augmentation surgery is typically performed to enlarge small breasts, underdeveloped breasts or breasts that have decreased in size after a woman has had children. It can also make breasts more symmetrical if one is significantly larger than the other. There are three types of breast implants: saline (filled with sterile saltwater), silicone (filled with silicone gel) and the structured Ideal Implant (filled with saline but with the natural look and feel of silicone).
CoolsculptingCoolSculpting is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure that freezes away approximately 25% of stubborn fat. The treated fat cells are crystallized, turned into dead cells and then excreted by the body, leaving the area toned, tighter and smoother. People should not gain weight after this procedure or the results will not be long-lasting.
FaceliftTo achieve a firmer, smoother, younger-looking face, a more elegant neck and a tighter jawline, many people choose to have a facelift, a surgical procedure that lifts, tightens and repositions both the superficial and deep layers of the facial tissues. Incisions are placed within the hairline, following the natural contours of a person’s ears. Most people who have facelift surgery are between 40 and 70 years of age but the procedure can also be performed on qualified candidates younger than 40 and older than 70.
InjectablesInjectables, or dermal fillers, are non-invasive, non-surgical cosmetic treatments that help prevent and reverse the visible signs of aging, restoring volume and fullness to the face. Injectables address not only the wrinkles themselves but the muscles that cause lines and furrows to form. Injectable fillers plump-up wrinkles, while denervating agents (such as Botox®) prevent the muscle contractions that lead to facial lines.
LiposuctionLiposuction is a surgical procedure that slims and reshapes specific areas of the body by removing excess fat deposits. During liposuction surgery, a small, hollow tube (cannula) connected to a vacuum pressure unit is inserted through one or more tiny incisions near the area to be contoured. Guided by a plastic surgeon, the suction device then vacuums away unwanted fat. Since fat cells do not reproduce, once they are eliminated through liposuction, they will not be replaced—making this a very popular fat-reducing procedure.
Mommy MakeoverAfter pregnancy and breastfeeding, many women are unhappy with the changes in their bodies brought about by having children. One solution is to have a Mommy Makeover, a combination of surgical body sculpting procedures customized to each individual patient. These can include a breast lift, breast augmentation/implants, body sculpting, liposuction, butt augmentation, Brazilian butt lift, tummy tuck and lower body lift. Having several body sculpting surgeries in combination is beneficial because it limits a person’s recovery time so that they are inconvenienced as little as possible.
Rhinoplasty (nose reshaping or nose job)Nose reshaping surgery (commonly called a nose job) is usually performed to alter the size and shape of the bridge and tip of the nose. This procedure is generally performed through surgical incisions inside the nose—the traditional “closed” approach. A modified technique, called the “open” approach, is used for people who need more complex correction or who are undergoing a secondary rhinoplasty procedure. As well as altering the size and shape of the nose, nose reshaping surgery can also improve a person’s breathing.
Tummy TuckTummy tuck surgery, also known as abdominoplasty, reduces excess fat and loose skin, resulting in a smoother, flatter, firmer midsection. It also strengthens weakened stomach muscles, improves the look and shape of the belly button, defines the waist and creates a firmer abdomen. A tummy tuck will not take away fat deposits in areas other than the stomach, although it can be combined with other procedures such as liposuction for additional fat-reducing benefits.
