About

Being a doctor is about much more than medical knowledge. It is about using that knowledge to help people feel better and enjoy longer lives with their loved ones.

I grew up in the Bronx in a blue-collar, Italian-American family. My mother and father experienced many medical issues during my childhood. These experiences instilled in me a strong work ethic and a focus on caring for others. I strive to honor my parents by combining my medical knowledge with a thoughtful, attentive approach. I take time to get to know you and listen to you.

I believe in integrating evidence-based cardiology with personalized care. I enjoy explaining cardiac anatomy, physiology and the latest cardiac research to my patients in non-medical terms. I empower my patients to help me develop a personalized plan of action and guide them through the entire process of their care. My patients’ experience is reminiscent of a time when doctors and patients had strong, long-term relationships, facing adversity together. When you walk into my office, you become part of our team and we will be with you every step of the way.

I came to Northern Westchester 24 years ago and have dedicated myself to my patients, Northern Westchester Hospital (NWH) and our community. I have been on the NWH Medical Board for 10 years and counting. I served on the NWH Board of Trustees and as the President of the NWH Medical staff for six years. I am the Chief of Cardiology at NWH and part of the team developing the plan to bring cardiac catheterization and stent procedures to NWH. This will keep our patients who need complex cardiac care close to their family and under the care of their primary cardiologist. In 2015, I was sincerely grateful to be selected as the physician honoree at Northern Westchester Hospital’s Gala, for my high level of service to my patients and to the hospital.

I enjoy skiing, cycling and kayaking with my wife and children. I coached in the Katonah Bedford Hills Girls Softball League for nine seasons. I also coached in the Lewisboro Baseball Association. I am a New York Ranger and New York Yankees fan and enjoy watching their games with my family. My greatest sports moments are the day in 1994 when my baby daughter sat in the Stanley Cup and the night when Mariano Rivera threw my son a baseball at the 2006 MLB All-Star Game.
