Andrea Isaacs, M.D., FCCP was born and raised in New York. She attended college at the University of Pennsylvania where she obtained a BA degree in Education. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree (M.D.) at the University of Pittsburgh, known as the “transplant capital of the world”. Afterwards, she completed her internship and residency training at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. She concluded her training at NY Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, NY in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
After completing fellowship training, she worked in a Pulmonary Group practice, followed by running a solo practice for ten years in northern New Jersey. In recent years, she has worked at Helen Hayes Hospital as Director of inpatient cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation. She now joins the staff of Westchester Health Associates/Northwell Health as an outpatient Pulmonologist in Yorktown Heights and Valhalla. In addition, she sees inpatients at Northern Westchester Hospital as a consultant.
Throughout her career, Dr. Isaacs has received multiple accolades including the Patient Choice Award/Most Compassionate Physician Award in 2012, Heritage “Who’s Who in Professional Business” 2013, 19th Annual Recognition Award-Urban League Guild of Bergen County 2013, Hackensack University Medical Center R. Knight Steel Exemplary Teaching Award 2013, and JAMCCAR’s 2019 Women in Medicine Honoree.
Dr. Isaacs also serves in Medical Missions annually throughout the Caribbean with Family Christian Center’s Medical Missionary Team since 2015 providing high quality, complimentary care to indigent patients.
