During The COVID-19 Pandemic, It’s More Important Than Ever To Get The Flu Shot

The coronavirus is still very much a public health crisis. What you don’t need is the flu on top of that.

You’ve been very diligent at protecting yourself and your family against COVID-19. Now you need to protect all of you against the flu as well.

Don’t wait! Schedule your appointment today to get your family vaccinated against the flu.

As if the COVID-19 pandemic wasn’t bad enough, here comes flu season. Although many people associate the flu with winter, it actually ramps up much earlier, often in early fall or even late summer. That’s why it’s so important to get the flu shot now, for yourself and every member of your family.

Our flu clinics will open starting September 26, 2020.

Unlike the coronavirus, there is a vaccine against the flu and we strongly urge you to get it, especially this year. Who should get a flu shot?

Everyone over the age of 6 months should get a flu shot, every year, with very few exceptions.

People who should not get the flu shot:

  • Babies younger than 6 months
  • People with severe, life-threatening allergies to the flu vaccine or an ingredient in the vaccine

The flu remains a major killer

The CDC estimates that the flu typically kills 12,000 people in the U.S. in mild years and 62,000 in moderate-to-severe ones.

We’ve written several blogs about the importance of getting the flu shot
