We seek full time Medical Billing Cash Application Specialists, reporting to the Director of the Business Department, to work in the Central Billing Office.
SUMMARY
The Cash Application Specialist is responsible for posting payments, EFT and ERA payments and paper remittance for all insurance carriers. Candidates should have knowledge of medical billing and basic accounting functions. Responsible for accurate and timely processing of payments and related transactions regarding payments. Responds in a timely manner to and establishes and maintains high quality working relationships with staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Processes EFT and ERA payments and paper remittance for all insurance carriers in a timely manner
• Responsible for accurate and timely processing of payments and related transactions regarding payment
• Establishes and maintains high quality working relationships staff
• Performs other related duties as assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of medical bill payment posting, cash application processes, and EOB’s. Ability to communicate clearly and work efficiently and effectively with coworkers.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
High School or G.E.D. Knowledge of medical bill payment posting and basic accounting functions in a health care organization.
