Dr. Bakas specializes in obstetrics and gynecology and is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1996. Dr. Bakas graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Bakas completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Lutheran Medical Center.
He has been on staff at Northern Westchester Hospital (NWH) for almost 15 years. Soon after joining Northern Westchester Hospital, he recognized a need in the community and founded the Prenatal Care Center, where he currently serves as medical director.
For the convenience of patients all over Westchester and Fairfield counties, Dr. Bakas divides his time between three offices: in Mt. Kisco, Katonah and Brewster. He is currently on the executive board of Westchester Health Associates – a recently formed partnership of the area's top physicians across all specialties.
In addition to his commitment to prenatal care, Dr. Bakas is an experienced gynecologic surgeon. He is skilled at laparoscopy, as well as all forms of minimally invasive gynecological surgery. Dr. Bakas is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Medical Association. He lives in Armonk, NY with his wife and three children.
