Pediatrics
Morton H. Berman, MD
Dr. Berman joined Drs. Engel and Newman in their office on Soundview Avenue in 1971 after completing a Pediatric Internship and Residency at Bellevue Hospital/New York University Medical Center and a Fellowship in Pediatric Neurology at Bellevue Hospital. His training was interrupted by the Viet Nam War, when he spent two years as a Captain in the Air Force, practicing Pediatrics on an Air Defense Command Base.
He is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. His current hospital affiliations include White Plains Hospital and New York University Medical Center. He spent more than 25 years on the staff or Blythedale Children's Hospital and prior to that was the medical coordinator of the Pediatric Speech and Language Center at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital.
For the last twenty five years he has served as the physician for the Edgemont School System.
Other then his love of medicine, his main interests are his grandchildren, travel, antique collecting and long distance running. One of the most satisfying parts of his practice is seeing many of his old patients return to Soundview Pediatrics with their children as the next generation of patients.
