Margaret Andersen, MD
Dr. Andersen is a graduate of New York University where she completed her master's thesis in molecular biology. As a researcher at the renowned Rockefeller University, she was involved in researching the role of cholesterol and apolipoproteins in development of heart disease.
After receiving her medical degree from SUNY at Stonybrook, she completed her Internship and Residency in Internal medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. During her training, Dr. Andersen was named Intern of the Year at Mount Sinai Hospital and received the Richard Gorlin Resident Humanitarian award. Because of her empathy and patience she was selected to join the faculty at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine as an Instructor to residents at Weiler and Jacobi Hospitals.
Dr. Andersen's areas of expertise include prevention of cardiovascular disease through early detection and dietary intervention in women. Additionally, she has focused on the alleviation of the symptoms of Menopause.
