Andrew Wiznia, MD
Andrew Wiznia, M.D, specializes in Allergy and Immunology. He was raised in Queens, NY, and attended Brandeis University, and received his M.D. from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. He completed his pediatric residency at Jacobi Medical Center and a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is a full Professor of Pediatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and for the past 12 years has been the Director of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at Jacobi Medical Center. He started caring for HIV-infected children during his fellowship and over the past 25 years has had a leadership role in developing new treatments for HIV infected children worldwide through an NIH multicenter group conducting trials at over 80 domestic and international sites. He has been listed on many occasions as a Top New York Metro Allergist/Immunologist by Castle and Connolly and New York Super Doctors.
Dr. Wiznia’s passion for allergy and immunology stems from his own experiences, starting from infancy, of having significant eczema, asthma, allergic rhinitis and conjunctivitis and food allergies. He lives with his wife and daughter in upper Westchester for the past 19 years.
