Rhonda K. Berkowitz, M.D. graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology from the City College of New York. As a postgraduate she did cardiology research at Columbia University. She then attended New York University School of Medicine, where she earned her medical degree. During her medical school years she devoted a substantial amount of time to malignant melanoma research.
Dr. Berkowitz did specialty training in dermatology at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, where she completed her residency. While clinical training has always been her focus, Dr. Berkowitz has published several articles in medical journals.
Presently, she teaches residents and medical students at Columbia Presbyterian. Dr. Berkowitz has maintained a full-time dermatology practice in Briarcliff Manor for many years. Her interests lie primarily in medical dermatology, as well as skin cancer detection, prevention and treatment.
She is happily married, has two wonderful daughters and has been a resident of Westchester for more than twenty-five years.
